Device for testing permanent magnets

A device for testing permanent magnets which are exposed to a strong magnetic field is proposed. This magnetic field is generated by means of an electromagnet or an equivalent motor, the current through the magnet being measured. When a particular current is reached, the electromagnet is short-circuited so that the field is very rapidly removed. The result of this measure is that, for example in a test device, the magnets are reproducibly uniformly loaded for demagnetisation by means of a counterfield. <IMAGE>
