For the connection of the rainwater downpipe (3) on a drainage channel, a discharge pipe bend is used which comprises an upper part (1), provided with an inlet bend (2), a cast-iron head element (6) and a lower part (8) which can be connected to the drainage channel. The plastic upper and lower parts (1) and (8) are connected to each other by a telescoping elongate sleeve (11) in order to compensate for settling effects.
