PURPOSE:To reduce the trouble for changing the setup of the above device having a transfer bar by moving a pair of clamping members in opposite directions by a clamping cylinder attached to the transfer bar to clamp a rod-like work. CONSTITUTION:When a moving shaft 24 is moved right and clamping members 36, 37 are separated from each other, machining is finished at every machining station S, and a rod-like work W not yet machined is fed to a work feed position, and then a transfer bar 20 is lifted by a lift cylinder. Then, clamping device 30 is operated by a clamping cylinder 23 to hold thereby each of the works W supported at the work feed position and the machining stations by center supporting members not shown. Then, the center supporting members are retracted. The transfer bar 20 is lowered. This construction results in reduction of the trouble for changing the setup. |
