PURPOSE:To obtain a battery having high reliability of long-term storage by making a sealing body in a trible laminar structure composed of a polyethylene or ethylene copolymer layer with excellent electrically insulating property and thermal-adhesive ionomer resin layer adhering to both sides of said copolymer layer. CONSTITUTION:A sealing body 1 has a triple laminar structure having a polyethylene or ethylene copolymer layer 2 with ionomer resin layers 3 on both sides of said copolymer layer 2. The ionomer resin layers 3 have ion-conductivity, while the polyethylene layer 2 is an electrical insulator having no conductivity. For this reason, there is no current flow between the positive electrode metal plate 4 and negative electrode metal plate 5. Therefore, a battery with the sealing body 1 like this has high reliability of long-term storage. |
