PURPOSE:To improve the starting performance by producing current corresponding with each mode from current setting section and feeding to a clutch coil thereby declutching completely for a time under car speed lower than setting level during deceleration and maintaining good coasting performance. CONSTITUTION:It is comprised of a car speed sensor 50 for producing pulses proportional to the car speed, an engine rotation sensor 51 for producing pulses proportional to the rotation of engine and an accelerator switch 52 for detecting the accelerator operation. The output from each sensor 50, 51 is provided through each decision block 54, 55 in control unit 53 to operation mode decision block 56. Said block 56 will decide at least four modes with reference to car speed to produce direct-coupled current, drag current, zero current or current proportional to the engine rotation from current setting section 57 with correspondence to each mode and feed to clutch coil 15. Under car speed lower than V1, clutch current is brought to zero if the accelerator is opened thus to open the clutch completely. |
