PURPOSE:To heat the whole of a three-dimensionally large sized substance to be heated uniformly by a method wherein a sensor, recognizing the configuration of the substance to be heated, is provided to change the projecting position of microwave in accordance with the size of the substance to be heated, which is recognized by the sensor. CONSTITUTION:A configuration recognizing sensor 7 detects the configuration of the substance to be heated 6 during several turns of a turn table 4. A switching board control motor 14 holds a switching board 9 in a condition of projecting an upper surface under considering the permeating depth of the microwave with respect to the substance 6 to be heated when either one of the height component Y or the width component x of the substance 6 is lower than given values (X0, Y0). On the other hand, when the X component is larger than the value X0 and the Y component is also larger than the value Y0, the switching board control motor 14 repeats the normal and reverse rotations periodically to effect the switching motion of the switching board 9 and switch the projection of the microwave for a heating box 3 from upper surface to side surface periodically. |
