BENT LEAD DETECTION PROCESS

摘要

PURPOSE:To make inspection accurate without redort to visual means by a method wherein any bent lead is inspected by means of detecting any light reflecting from shoulder and end of a lead using fiber sensors. CONSTITUTION:An IC element 2 with multiple leads bent and projected from both sides is shifted in the specified direction along a guide 1 in parallel with the IC element 2. At this time, a fiber sensor 3 detecting light reflecting from shoulder of the lead is arranged on one side while another fiber sensor 4 detecting light reflecting from end of the lead is arranged above the IC element 2. Similar sensors 5, 6 are arranged on the other side and the output signals from these sensors 3-6 are transmitted to a detecting circuit 7 to check if there is any bent lead. Through these procedures, the inspection of any bent lead may be assured and automated without resort to any visual inspection subject to indispensable individual difference.
