PHOTOSENSITIVE SILVER HALIDE MATERIAL FOR X-RAYS

PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive silver halide material for X-rays having specified sensitivity characteristics, high diagnostic capacity and superior clearness and causing hardly desensitization under pressure by blending silver halide emulsions which are different from each other in dispersibility, average particle size or the like. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive silver halide material for X-rays shows a characteristic curve giving 2.7-3.3 gamma between a point having 0.5 optical density and a point having 1.5 optical density and 0.36-0.65 gamma between a point having 0.05 optical density and a point having 0.3 optical density in an orthogonal coordinate system having optical density (D) and extent of exposure (log E) as the coordinate axes. The material is obtd. by blending plural silver halide emulsions which are different from each other in dispersibility, average particle size or the like. For example, a polydispersion type silver halide emulsion having high sensitivity is combined with a single dispersion type silver halide emulsion whose sensitivity is lower than said high sensitivity by about 15-60%.
