PURPOSE:To enable reduction of time for retrieving when plural seals are stored in the same account with retrieving order, by retrieving the seals according to the retrieving order, and renewing the order to make a seal retrieved last become the first order. CONSTITUTION:When a user presents a form ID, an operator inputs account number from a keyboard 25. This is sent to a retrieving section 1 through an interface 12. A controlling section 11 refers to the control table of a registered seal file 0, and reads out a registered seal of first retrieving order and within the term of validity, and stores in a registered seal memory 22. On the other hand, collated seal print on the form ID is read by an image reader 26 and stored in a collated seal memory 27. When visual collation is made, two seals are displayed side by side in a display 24. When automatic collation is made, two seal prints are sent to a collating section 28, and the result is shown in the display. When the seal print is differs, a seal print next in order is retrieved by depressing a key of the keyboard 25, and collation is made in similar way. |
