PURPOSE:To make the quantity of light on a film independent of the charge voltage of a main capacitor at the beginning of a flashing by cutting infrared light in a flash from a discharge tube for main flashing. CONSTITUTION:A front panel 6 for protecting a main flashing part is made of methacrylic resin contg. a proper pigment such as copper phthalocyanine or metal-free phthalocyanine, and it corrects color and cuts light in the ultraviolet and infrared regions. After flashing a discharge tube 7, a flash for illuminating a subject and exposing a film sensitive to visible light is generated from a discharge tube 4. The panel 6 cuts light in the ultraviolet and infrared regions in the flash, and only visible light in the flash illuminates the subject. The film is properly exposed even when flashing is started without taking the charge voltage of a main capacitor into consideration.
