PURPOSE:To utilize effectively one telephone line for a telephone set and a communication equipment by selecting a call time in response to a time zone and switching a line after the response of the operator is awaited during the selection time. CONSTITUTION:When the manual mode is selected by a switch 7, a telephone set 4 is connected to the line the same as a conventional telephone set while a relay 6 is connected to a terminal B. On the other hand, when the automatic mode is selected by a switch 7, the control is conducted. The clock of a clock 2 is read when the call signal is detected. Then the cell time by bell ringing of the telephone set 4 corresponding to the time read from a memory 8 is read. As the bell ring time for calling the operator, two kinds of times for night and day are coded and stored in a memory 8. This is because it is unlidely that the operator exists near the device at the night time zone and it is very likely that the operator exists nearby the device at the day time zone. This device does not switch the relay 6 during the ring time set in the memory 8 and awaits the operator in response thereto while keeping the bell of the telephone set 4 to ring.
