PURPOSE:To reduce the difference of temperature distribution in an air-conditioned room by a method wherein the rotating number of a fan is increased for a predetermined period of time at every predetermined time during air-conditioning operation to increase the amount of circulating air and, thereafter, the rotating number of the fan is reduced to the initial rotating number. CONSTITUTION:A rotating number switching switch 9 is a switch for a timer and is integrated with the rotating number switching switch 8 to effect the same operation in conjection with the switch 8. When the switch 8 is connected to ''strong'' operation, the driving section 10 of the timer is not conducted and, therefore, the opening and closing contact 10a of the timer maintains a closed condition. Accordingly, the fan motor 4 continuous the ''strong'' operation. When the switching switch 8 or the switch 9 for the timer is connected to ''middle'' or ''weak'' operation, the air-conditioning machine starts the ''middle'' or ''weak'' operation. When the temperature difference in the air- conditioned room, especially the temperature difference between the upper and lower parts of the room, is increasing, the timer is operated and the first opening and closing element 10a of the timer is opened while the second opening and closing element 10b is closed to effect the ''strong'' operation for a given period of time and reduce the difference of temperature distribution of the air-conditioned room.
