A vehicle seat has several adjustment devices, e.g. for the seat back, for the angle of the seat base, for horizontal positional adjustment etc., which are operated by an electric motor. With the object of reducing the cost and installation expense of such electro- mechanically adjustable vehicle seats a single electric motor 30 is used for two or more adjustable devices 23, 24, 25, 26, with the output shaft 31 of the electric motor being able to be connected through couplings heads 32 and flexible connections 33 to any one of the input shafts 27 of the adjusting devices, as desired. Various design solutions are proposed for use with such a single motor drive. <IMAGE>
