发明名称 ROLL PLATING DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To make high-speed plating with specified current density possible regardless of the change of the diameter of a metallic roll in the stage of electroplating said roll by moving a U channel-shaped insoluble metallic cage in which a metallic ingot for plating is put and which is provided with plating liquid injection pipes to the very close distance to the surface of the metallic roll. CONSTITUTION:The metallic roll R to be electroplated on the surface is suspended in a plating tank 2 by a device 1 for chucking and rotating the roll and is dipped into the plating liquid. The insoluble cage 3 made of Ti is attached to the lower part and side face of the roll R. The ingot of the metal for plating is put into the cage. The lower half part 3a on the inside wall is made into the semicylindrical shape which can be moved near to the roll R of the largest diameter at the very small distance therefrom. The upper half parts 3b, 3b on both sides are made into the upwardly expanding U shape. The cage has the many plating liquid ejection parts 4 on the inside peripheral surface. Electroplating is executed with the cage 3 as an anode and the rotating roll R as a cathode. The cage is moved vertically to the position very close at the roll R by a moving means when the diameter of the roll R changes. The high-speed plating always with the same current density is thus made possible.
