PHOTOELECTRIC TYPE DETECTOR FOR OPERATING HANDLE

PURPOSE:To make construction simple and highly reliable and to permit easy digitization by receiving the light from a luminous body connected to an operating handle by a photodetector and taking out the extent of the movement as a result of operation in the form of a numerical value according to the pulse signal outputted from the photodetector. CONSTITUTION:When an operating handle 10 is turned or luffed, the position of the light spot cast to the photodetecting surface 13a of a photodetector 13 moves according to the movement thereof. The output timing of a video pulse SC moves accordingly and is binary coded in a binary coding circuit 16. The binary coded video signal SD, a clock signal SA and a monitor signal SE as well as a start pulse SB are synthesized by a synthesizing circuit 15 to a synthesized signal SF which is fed via a transmission line B to a separating circuit 17 of a control device C. Counting of the clock signal SA by the 1st counter circuit 18 is started by the start pulse SB and the counting is stopped by the signal SD. The numerical value thereof is held by a latching circuit 21.
