<p>PURPOSE:To perform uniform heating and hardening of respective groove ridges on one shot in the stage of hardening the groove ridges of the titled member by using a heating coil by forming the heating coil into the shape by which the respective groove ridges under turning can be individually and simultaneously heated. CONSTITUTION:A heating coil C applied to a member W having peripherally three V-grooves (v) is provided with inner heating conductors c2r, c3r, c2l-c4l which draw the arc larger than the base diameter of the grooves (v) and smaller than the diameter of the groove ridges and can be extended by being substantially submerged in the grooves (v) over the prescribed angle range below the half periphery of the member W. The coil C is further provided with arcuate outer heating conductors c1, c5 which can face each other by extending over approximately the half of the above-described angle range at the peripheral edges of both end faces of the member W. Electric circuits in the same direction or the direction opposite therefrom as shown by arrows are formed to the respective heating conductors via connecting conductors j1-j7. If such coil C is disposed to the member W rotating around the axis and when an electric power source E is closed, heating progresses simultaneously over the entire periphery from the base part of the member W to the peak part thereof to the same temp. Cooling fluid is ejected from the ejecting holes (q) of the conductors c1-c5 after conduction of electricity for the prescribed time, by which the member is quickly cooled.</p> |
