PURPOSE:To simply and practically perform the printing of patterns by a method in which in case there is no printing command within a fixed period of time after ending given printing, the paper is advanced and made into stand-by state at the position where printing is confirmed, and when receiving printing commands, the printing operation is continuously performed. CONSTITUTION:Font for solid black is read out of a buffer memory by the main controller 58 synchronously with controlling the motor drive circuit 74 for sending a carriage and the motor drive circuit for sending papers in the motor drive controller 68. During the period, a printing head 10 is driven and solid black printing is made on the corresponding coordinate positions. Ending message is sent to the controller by the controller 68 each time solid black printing for one dot of letter is ended, the timer 80 is set, and printing command is waited for until a preset time period is elapsed. When receiving printing command during the period, the carriage or paper feeder is moved for 24 dots or several dots and printing is performed by the controller 68. |
