PURPOSE:To measure the humidity of a high temperature gas, by measuring the temperature, pressure and density of the gas to be measured. CONSTITUTION:Since a gas, whose humidity is to be measured, is an ideal mixed gas to a dry gas and water vapor the pressure of water vapor ew is obtained by the expression in the Figure, where T[ deg.K] is temperature, (p) is pressure and rho is density. (When units in CGS system are used, ko=0.0004644 and kw= 0.0002887.) Thus the humidity of the high temperature gas can be obtained. |
