PURPOSE:To measure the minute displacement of a moving body at a distant place without precise tracking, by determining the movement of a moving body, as the movement of an image on the screen of a TV camera and the like on a coarse tracking rack, which is placed at a reference point of the moving body. CONSTITUTION:A TV camera 1 has a lens 5 having a long forcal length, establishes the position of a bright point 7 on an image surface 6 and sends the information to the memory of a computer 8. A nimute-displacement measuring device is composed of the TV camera 1, a coarse-tracking rack 2, and a light source 3, which emits light having high-intensity luminance. When a moving body 4 is moved to a position 4', the light source 3 goes to a position 3' and the bright point 7 on the image surface 6 goes to a position 7'. The distance from the center of the screen to the bright point 7' is stored in the memory of the computer 8. When the amount of movement is large and the bright point is deviated out of the image surface 6, the rack 2 is moved and the direction of the TV camera 1 is changed so that the position of the bright point 7' comes to the approximately central point. Every time the rack 2 is moved, the amount of movement is stored in the memory and added to the present position information of the bright point. Thus the amount of displacement is computed. |
