Stevioside, which is a component of sweetness, is filtered at high purity. The previous method rids impurities from the extracts of dried stevia leaves and the residual impurities filtered onto the membrane. The concentrated extracts are then treated with a mixt. soln of benzene, butyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol and Nhexane to remove chlorophyll. Thus, stevioside, having 90% high purity, is produced.
