PURPOSE:To cause a copying machine to function for edition by extracting an image corresponding to the edition position of the first original, copying it on a copying paper, stacking it on a buffer tray, leaving only electrostatic charge corresponding to the edition position of the second original on a photosensitive body, and editing it on the stacked paper. CONSTITUTION:Input switches 42 of an X-row and those 41 of Y-row are arranged in parallel to the longitudinal and lateral sides of a contact glass plate 1, and the edition position of an original image is set. An image corresponding to the designated edition position of the first original PD1 is extracted by turning on an erasing lamp 5 on a photosensitive drum 3, copied on a copying paper PA, and stacked on a buffer tray 33. The part to be extracted from the second original PD2 is positioned exactly on the glass plate 1, and only an image corresponding to the edition position of the original PD2 is formed on the drum 3, and the paper PA stacked on the tray 33 is fed, and the originals PD1 and PD2 are edited on the paper PA.
