PURPOSE:To prevent a supply voltage from being markedly lowered, by a method, wherein the quantity of electric current consumed by a printing head per predetermined period of time is reduced in accordance with a voltage lowering detection signal from a voltage lowering detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:The voltage lowering detecting circuit 3 for detecting the lowering of a voltage when a voltage Vs supplied from a power source device 1 to each hammer-driving circuit 2 of a printing head is lowered below a preset voltage and a printing operation controlling circuit 4 for controlling the hammer- driving circuit 2 are provided. The printing operation is so controlled as to reduce the number of times of printing (solenoid hammer driving) operations per predetermined period of time of the head in accordance with the voltage lowering detection signal (b). |
