FUEL REACTOR

The fuel reactor or high-intensity burner includes an inner shell (16) mounted within an outer shell (11) with an annular space (18) between them, the inner shell having openings (25) in the form of slots. The openings are provided in the vicinity of a tangential combustion air inlet (13), connected to the annular space and adjacent to a discharge nozzle (23) within the inner shell discharge end. The slots allow some air entering the inelt to flow onto the discharge nozzle for cooling. The slots are pref. disposed at circumferentially disposed locations around the nozzle.
