PURPOSE:To secure the safety in high-speed traveling by cutting-off a solenoid electric current and retaining a key switch OFF, keeping the steering repulsive- force hydraulic pressure in increased state, when a car-speed signal is not transmitted because of a certain cause during high-speed traveling. CONSTITUTION:When a car-speed signal is not transmitted because of the breakage of a car-speed sensor 8 itself, disconnection or grounding of a connector or a chassis wiring connecting the car-speed sensor 8 and an electric controller 7, internal disorder of the electric controller 7, etc., delay operation is started, and after a prescribed time, a protecting relay 71 is driven, and an always closed contact is opened, and this state is maintained. Therefore, the power source for a solenoid driving circuit 705 is cut-off, and the flow of the driving current for a proportional solenoid 6 is suspended, and a steering wheel is kept at the heavy state corresponding to the high-speed traveling state. |
