PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness and to increase the output torque of a step motor by employing a rotor core having a rotor teeth projected and formed on a rotary shaft in a direction parallel to the axis of the shaft, and a stator core having a stator pole opposed to the teeth. CONSTITUTION:A disc-shaped rotor core 10 is formed of a hub 12 of disc shape of inner peripheral side and a circular rotor body 14 concentrically secured to the outer peripheral side of the hub. A stator core 20 is formed in a disc shape of the same diameter as the core 10. Rotor teeth 28 and stator poles 30 are respectively projected on the outer peripheries of the opposed sides of the cores 10, 20 opposed in parallel with the axial center of a rotor shaft 16. Drive coil groups 32A, 32A', 32B, 32B' are wound on the poles of the core 20. |
