PURPOSE:To reduce size and cost by rationally containing a propulsion speed detecting mechanism which is operated by a magnetic encoder as a field magnet. CONSTITUTION:A voice coil type linear motor 1 of movable coil type has a yoke 2 of U-shaped section, and both ends are closed by a magnetic unit 3. Field magnets 4-1, 4-2 are secured to the inner surface of the yoke 2. A stator yoke 8 for a guide rail is secured at both ends to the unit 3, and a bobbin 6 on which a drive coil 5 is wound on the yoke 8 is disposed to be reciprocated. A pole unit 9 for a magnetic encoder in which N-, S-poles are alternately magnetized and formed is formed on the upper end of the magnet 4-1. Origin signal magnetizing units 10 are formed at both ends of the upper end of the magnet 4-2. |
