PURPOSE:To prevent fuel shortage on the way of running, by operating a running distance by inputting the distance measured value and reduced scale magnification on a map and operating a runnable distance corresponding to a residual fuel amount while displaying the value obtained by a fuel quantity operation means. CONSTITUTION:A scheduled running distance can be detected by operating the output of a map meter but, when a key 14c is pushed once more, an operation processing part 30 takes in the value (scheduled running distance) displayed by a display part 12. When a gasoline key 14b is pushed, a runnable distance is calculated by multiplying the residual gasoline amount detected by the operation processing part 30 and a gasoline detector 32 by a stored average running distance per 1l and the scheduled running distance is subtracted from this distance while this subtracted value is again converted to gasoline quantity. That is, the subtracted value is divided by the average running distance per 1l to display the fuel quantity by the display part 12. By this mechanism, a rear-end collision accident during stoppage on the shoulder of a road by fuel shortage on the way of running can be prevented. |
