The invention relates to a process for the regenerative use of the heat content of lean solutions or of bottom products after the desorption of a working fluid in thermal separation of liquid components, especially in sorption processes involving pairs of working mediums or multicomponent mixtures. The essence of the invention consists in the rich solution supplied being divided into two part-streams, one part-stream being [lacuna] to a desorber and the other to a part-stream desorber [lacuna] flow through both appliances with the absorption of heat and the liberation of working medium, and the lean solution being collected in the bottoms. The two bottom products are then brought together, and the total stream of lean solution is passed as a heat transfer medium through the shell cavity of a heating bunch of the part-stream desorber, in countercurrent to the falling film of the rich solution, and is used to heat the part-stream desorber. The invention is applied in desorption and distillation plants in the chemical industry for utilising process heat in desorbers of absorption refrigeration plants, sorption heat pumps, sorption processes for generating mechanical energy and heat transformation plants.

|
