<p>A gelatin capsule containing an effective unit dosage amount of acetaminophen. The vehicle for the acetaminophen is a combination of a low molecular weight polyethylene glycol and a higher molecular weight polyethylene glycol. A viscosity modifier for a polyethylene glycol vehicle is included, as well as a surfractant that aids the physiological dispersion of the acetaminophen. The inventive capsule exhibits an improved time required for the acetaminophen to reach maximum plasma concentration as compared to conventional powder filled, hard shell capsule products.</p> |
