METHOD AND PLANT FOR ELIMINATING THE RESTS OF ORGANIC AND INORGANIC BINDERS FROM FOUNDRY SAND

Debris sand is mixted in a washing drum (1) with a heated liquid wetting agent. The resulting mixture is separated in a separation unit (17) into a sand fraction and a slurry fraction comprised of binder and wetting agent. In a washing unit (18), the sand is thoroughly cleaned and the water is separated from the sand. Finally, the drying of the sand is carried out in a drying oven (14) and its cooling is carried out in a cooler (15). The slurry fraction is separated in another separation unit (8) on one hand into dry binder rests and on the other hand into liquid wetting agent.
