PURPOSE:To reduce considerably the reactivity of a contact member with an iron material by using an Si3N4-base sintered body contg. specified amounts of Al2O3 and Y2O3 and having a specified density ratio as the material of the member contacting with the iron material at a high temp. CONSTITUTION:A member supporting an iron material at a high temp. or contacting with it is made of an Si3N4-base sintered body contg. <=9wt% Al2O3 and <=7wt% Y2O3 in 9:1-1:5 weight ratio of Al2O3:Y2O3 and having >=70% theoretical density ratio. |
