PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin compsn. having excellent heat resistance and improved impact resistance and moldability, by incorporating a polyolefin and an acrylate ester graft copolymer in a polyphenylene ether resin. CONSTITUTION:10-90wt% polyphenylene ether resin, 0-88wt% arom. vinyl hydrocarbon resin, 1-20wt% polyolefin and 1-25wt% acrylate ester copolymer are mixed together. Examples of the polyphenylene ether resins are polyphenylene ether homopolymers and copolymers obtd. by the oxidative polymn. of a monocyclic phenol of formula I (wherein R1 is a 1-3C lower alkyl; R2, R3 are each H, a 1-3C lower alkyl). Examples of the arom. vinyl hydrocarbon resins are those contg. at least 25wt% monomer structure unit of formula II (wherein R1 is H, etc.; Z is halogen atom, etc.; P is 0, 1-3).
