PURPOSE:To obtain a plated wire uniform in deposit thickness and excellent in straightness by running a plated wire vertical from the upper side and drawing it by passing it through a skin-pass die. CONSTITUTION:A plated wire 1 is sent from a delivery device to an annealing furnace, and is thereafter introduced to a pack-type winding device 6 through a guide pulley 5. A skin-pass die device is fixed to the device 6, and is constituted of a skin-pass die 12 and a die receiver 11 used for fixing the die 12. Teeth are formed in the outer circumference of receiver 11, and are engaged with a gear 13 connected to a motor M to fix the die 12. Thus, the possibility of causing the deposit-thickness deviation due to the positional change of wire 1 is remarkably reduced, because the annealed plated wire 1 is passed through the die 12 in the direction perpendicular to the die 12.
