An infrared radiation gas analyzer for determining the concentration of an ingredient in a sample comprises a sample cell 1, an optical chopper 7, a filter 9 for transmitting infrared rays radiated from the ingredient in the sample heated by a heater 4, and an infrared detector 10 for detecting these rays. There may also be a reference cell by the side of cell 1 and radiation from it and cell 1 are alternately passed through the filter. The rear wall may be a reflector instead of a window 6b. These may be two filters feeding two detectors, one transmitting radiation from the ingredient and the other a nearby waveband, the ratio of the detector signals being determined. These may be a second cell, containing the gas less the ingredient, between cell 1 and the chopper. There may be optional filters of various wavebands. The gas may be heated to different temperatures. <IMAGE> |
