PURPOSE:To improve the bending fatigue characteristic of the juncture of steel cords by splicing the cores of said cords then superposing strands of both sides on the outside thereof, twisting together with strands and mounting a heat shrinkable tube to the juncture. CONSTITUTION:Cores 3, 3' of both steel cords to be connected are spliced, then strands 4, 4' are twisted together with the outside of the connected core. A shrinkable tube 8 which is preliminarily passed onto the steel cord on one side is put to the joint part, then the tube 8 is heated to shrink. The juncture is therefore securely covered by the tube 8 and since the polyamide layer on the inside is softened, the polyamide penetrates between the strands, thus adhering securely to the steel cords. The strands tightens the cores and therefore the juncture has the substantial strength to tension as well. Rubber of tire is securely adhered to the outside of the heat shrinkable tube.
