The invention relates to a connecting element (1) for connecting a wiper arm (10) to a wiper blade (20) via a profiled pin (30) which has a groove extending at least approximately around the entire circumference of the pin. Using an intermediate piece (40), the connecting element (1) embraces the pin (30) coaxially and in the region of the groove has an opening (90) in which a locking element (50) can engage. After the engagement, the locking element (50) bears snugly both against the boundary walls (33) of the groove and against the walls (63, 65a, b, 66a, b) of the intermediate piece (40), which walls bound the opening (90).
