PURPOSE:To obviate driving control at overspeediness and abnormal speediness in an engine, by comparing a detected engine speed with at least one of setting reference speeds and, when it satisfies the required specified speed condition, releasing the driving control. CONSTITUTION:An engine speed detecting device 11 for an engine speed and a control release device 13 which compares the engine speed with at least one of the setting reference engine speeds and outputs a control stop signal when it satisfies the required specific speed condition both are installed. And, when a car speed control device 7 controls a self-car speed by driving and controlling a throttle valve opening control device 9 on the basis of a car-to-car distance and the self-car speed detected by a car-to-car distance detecting device 1 and a car speed detecting device 3, if the said control stop signal is inputted into a controller, this self-car speed control is stopped. With this constitution, engine's overspeediness due to trouble in a clutch switch and/or slippage in a clutch plate as well as such driving control as being in a state of engine's abnormal speed based on wrong speed control due to trouble in a car speed sensor are all preventable. |
