PURPOSE:To obtain a fluorescent lamp in which no color shifts are caused by measuring the mean particle diameter of each of several types of phosphors and restricting the ratio of the maximum mean particle diameter to the minimum means particle diameter to below a specified level. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent lamp is made by applying a mixture consisting of several types of phosphors. When the mean particle diameters of these phosphors are measured by Blaine's method the ratio of the maximum mean diameter to the minimum mean diameter is adjusted to below 2.5. As a result, any separation of the phosphors which might occur during application of the phosphor slurry can be prevented, thereby preventing any color shifts between areas within the lamp. |
