PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a raising and lowering type radar post by installing a square inner cylinder which is slided in the vertical direction onto a square outer cylinder verticall fixed and erecting a radar post in the upper part of the inner cylinder and raising and lowering the inner cylinder by a wire, etc. wound onto a winch. CONSTITUTION:A square outer cylinder 12 is fixed vertically onto a hull deck 11 through a radar post body 10. A square inner cylinder 13 which is slided in the vertical direction is installed, fitted into the square outer cylinder 12, and a radar post 14 is erected in the upper part of the inner cylinder 13. Said square inner cylinder 13 is freely raised and lowered by the wires 19a and 19b wound onto a hand winch 24. A pinion rack mechanism can be used as the raising and lowering mechanism. Therefore, the whole constitution can be made simple in comparison with the conventional turning-up and -down type radar post.
