PURPOSE:To reduce a reversible rotary cultivator to a compact size and light weight by forming a switch mechanism for alternatively connecting a driving mechanism of a cultivating body with a bevel gear to be driven. CONSTITUTION:The inside portion of a driving shaft which is input side of a driving mechanism 3 for driving left and right 1 side of a cultivating body is disposed in such a manner as to engage with left and right output bevel gears 9, 10 and an input bevel gear 13 in a gear box 5. When a PTO shaft 23 of a tractor 23 is coupled to a shaft portion 13a of an input bevel gear 13, the input bevel gear 13 is rotated clockwise seen from the rear thereof. When a clutch boss portion 14b of a clutch cylinder shaft 14 is fitted to a clutch hole portion 10a of the right output bevel gear 10, the driving shaft 4 is rotated counter- clockwise seen from the left, so that the cultivating body is similarly rotated counter-clockwise. If the clutch cylinder shaft 14 is moved to the left, the drivin shaft is rotated clockwise.
