Hydraulic overload safeguard for a hydraulic motor

The invention relates to a hydraulic overload safeguard for hydraulic motors with mechanical members connected to their outputs. The operating pressure is fixed according to the limits of the hydraulic components, whilst the pressure to be determined from the load rating of the mechanical members is adjusted on a control valve, which if necessary actuates the brake assigned to the hydraulic motor according to the actual pressure prevailing on the hydraulic motor. In this way high speeds are achieved at less than the rated load without having to fear overloading of the mechanical members.
