PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of an ink piping system and to enhance reliability at the time of ink replenishment, by connecting an ink jet head, an ink tank and an ink filling port by ink piping. CONSTITUTION:An ink tank 7, an ink filling port 9 and a head 1 are connected in a T-shape by ink piping 3. When ink is filled, a fine pipe like needle 10 is inserted from a rubber opening 9a to push down a ball 9b and ink is sucked from the needle 10 to be allowed to fill the ink tank 7 through the piping 3. When the needle 10 is pulled off, the ball 9b is pressed to the rubber opening 9b by a spring 9c. In the ink jet recording apparatus having this structure, a complicated structure shown in a cartridge type ink tank is dispensed with. Further, ink leakage from the connection part with a coupler or the contact inferority of an electrode for detecting the residual amount of ink is not generated and the titled apparatus extremely excellent from the aspect of reliability is obtained. |
