PURPOSE:To operate a computer in accordance with a request without using a manual by arranging a liquid crystal display and function keys correspondingly on a keyboard. CONSTITUTION:If ''END'' is inputted from normal keys 2 except the function keys on the keyboard 1, the message of ''END'' is displayed on the liquid crystal display LCD3 and the messages of functions in the lower layers are displayed on respective peripheral edge display parts 31-3n. In addition, the message of ''END'' can be displayed on the LCD3 also by depressing function keys F1-F6 adjacent to the ''END'' of the commands displayed on the peripheral edge display parts of the LCD3. A ''HELP'' message is formed in a memory to provide the message with a retrieving function, so that a correct command name can be optionally retrieved is spite of uncertain storage by depressing a HELP key F6 in the function key. |
