PURPOSE:To prevent crosslinking development by providing a plate type member which abuts on a stirring member by relative movement in a supplementary developer storage container. CONSTITUTION:A toner bottle 50 is rotated during supplementing operation so as to improve the flowability of supplementary toner in the toner bottle 50, and further the plate type member 110 and stirring member 111 are installed in the toner bottle 50 in order to prevent a blocking phenomenon. A metering means is provided to specify accurately the amount of supplementary toner sent out of the bottle 50 through its opening part 51. This metering means consists of a bottle base 60, support ring 65, metering plate 76, and conveying means which conveys supplementary toner which is metered and fallen by said members horizontally into a developing device. |
