PURPOSE:To enhance the durability and corrosion resistance of a heat exchanger, by forming a coating layer comprising a specific binder having high heat resistance to the surface of a heat exchange member and spraying a flaky stainless powder onto said layer. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer 6 is formed to the surface of the matrix material of a heat exchange member by using a paint containing an org. silicon polymer, which is based on polyborosiloxane having a skeleton consisting of silicon, carbon, boron and oxygen, as a binder. Next, a flaky stainless powder (a) is sprayed to the surface of the coating layer 6 in such a state that said layer 6 is still wet to form a leafing layer comprising the stainless powder (a) to the surface of said coating layer 6. By forming this film, the corrosion of the heat exchange member is eliminated and durability as a heat exchanger is enhanced to a large extent and the reliability of the equipment is enhanced.
