PURPOSE:To obtain stable atomization characteristics by making the knot of the oscillation system of a nozzle plate constant, by providing a cut groove to the part, which is coincided with the knot part forming position of the oscillation system generating flexural oscillation, on the surface of the nozzle plate. CONSTITUTION:When an electric oscillator 1 is oscillated by the application of voltage from an oscillation circuit, a nozzle plate 3 is vibrated through a fixing layer 4b to perform flexural oscillation and, therefore, the liquid allowed to fill a liquid chamber 8 is pressurized to be atomized through nozzle orifices 6. Because this atomization is dependent on vibration characteristics, a cut groove 10 is provided to the knot part forming position of the oscillation system on the surface of the nozzle plate 3 in order to stabilize the vibration characteristics of said nozzle plate 3. By this method, the rigidity of the part of the cut groove 10 is lowered and the flexural oscillation at the center of the nozzle plate 3 is easily converted to vibration motion at the cut groove part as the starting point and, because the knot of the oscillation system is made constant at this position, atomization characteristics are stabilized.
