PURPOSE:To conduct the test of a subscriber's line efficiently by providing an interface to a computer having a subscriber test line interface and a data base. CONSTITUTION:When the subscriber recognizes a fault of a telephone line, a fault reception line is called and the contact of a fault is applied to a test personnel via a test line interface 1. The test personnel transmits a telephone number of the subscriber to a controller 5 by the operation of a keyboard 4. The controller 5 transmits the said telephone number information to a data base computer via a computer interface 2. The data base computer returns the information requird for the test of the subscriber's line such as a test signal, fault history, a line pair number, an address and a telephone set model. The controller 5 receives the information via the interface 2 and displays it on a CRT display 3. The test personnel observies the information and conducts a proper test by using the keyboard 4. |
