PURPOSE:To enhance permeability, by allowing a large number of yarn-like substances to simultaneously slide into the periphery of a cylindrical semipermeable membrane module with a support in parallel. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical semipermeable membrane 7-7 cast on and integrated with a support 6-6 is inserted into a pressure resistant support tube 5-5 and, at the same time, yarn like substances 9-9 comprising yarns or spun yarns each made of a synthetic fiber are slid into the space between the support 6-6 and the pressure resistant support tube 5-5. Both ends are sealed to prepare a cylindrical semipermeable membrane module. Because the spaces formed by the yarn like substances 9-9 and the yarn-like substances 9-9 themselves function as passages of a solution transmitting the semipermeable membrane, the transmitted solution becomes easy to flow and permeability is enhanced. |
