PURPOSE:To prevent a conductor layer from being disconnected by fixing a conductor layer and an end part of the straight cylindrical part of a tensile strength wire in one body with a sleeve, and fixing the taper part of the high tensile strength wire to the taper side of a taper sleeve. CONSTITUTION:The high tensile strength wire 7 is fixed to a cable anchoring part and a conductor layer 8 is connected to a repeater body through the taper sleeve 20, a taper cone 22, a press plate 15, and a tail cable 10. The end part of the straight cylindrical part of the taper sleeve 20 is fixed integrally with the conductor layer 8 and tensile strength wire 7 at the position of the sleeve 21 by caulking the conductor layer 8 and tensile strength wire 7 in one body at the position of the sleeve 21. Therefore, tensile strength is applied to a submarine cable 3 as well and when the tensile strength wire 7 extends, the straight cylindrical part of the taper sleeve 20 also extends by the same extent. Consequently, no tensile strength is applied to the conductor 8, which is then prevented from being disconnected. |
