PURPOSE:To prevent inattentive driving by providing a warning switch to a speedometer which generates a warning sound above a limit speed, and turning on a warning lamp with the switch on and generating the warning sound continuously when the speed is lowered. CONSTITUTION:A speed warning part A consists of a speedometer needle 7, warning needle 13, limit speed knob 3, limit speed pointer 8, warning plate 10, and arcuate contact 11; the needle 7 and warning needle 13 are fitted to a center rod in the same direction, and the contact 11 is fixed on the warning plate 10 at the same position with the needle tip of the pointer 8 at the time of the limit speed. An inattentive driving warning part B consists of a confirmation lamp 4, warning knob 6, movable contact 12, and wire 14 and when the knob 6 is turned on to expose the movable contact 12 in the surface of the warning plate 10, there is a contactless part formed circumferentially between arcuate contacts 11. Then, there is no warning sound generated as far as driving is carried on at a speed where the warning needle 13 stays at said part, and the warning sound is generated intermittently above the limit speed or continuously when the speed is reduced in inattentive driving, so that safe driving becomes possible. |
